Tevez: I left United because of Fergie

Tevez: I left United because of Fergie

Carlos Tevez has accused Sir Alex Ferguson of disrespecting him and claims he was "thrown out" of Manchester United.

The Argentine is expected to complete a move to United's bitter rivals Manchester City this week.

Tevez's two-year loan deal at United expired and the 25-year-old rejected an offer to stay at Old Trafford.

The striker claims he was forced to leave after his relationship with United boss Ferguson deteriorated last season.

"My first year was good in all senses. I played in the games and felt respected by the coach but in my second year some strange things happened that I still do not understand," he told The People newspaper.

"After the game at Old Trafford where Liverpool beat us [4-1 in March], Ferguson ignored me almost as if I was to blame for the defeat when really Liverpool dominated us all over the pitch.

"After that the fans called for me to be in the team but he never took the advice on board because he always knows best.

"I am no traitor, United fans know that - and they know how the manager treated me."

Chelsea are also reportedly tracking Tevez, who became a free agent on July 1st.

Tevez turned down the offer of a five-year deal at United, claiming the Premier League champions took too long to make him a deal.
